Sungkyunkwan Scandal and A Gentleman’s Dignity

Category: Entertainment
Genre: Korean Drama
My Rating:

Lately, I have not followed any recent K-Dramas as I have not found any interesting stories yet. So I decided to watch Sungkyunkwan Scandal and A Gentleman’s Dignity.

I didn’t know there were a lot of hot guys around Sungkyunkwan especially Geol Oh and Yeorim. (haha) Watching the drama for 2 days was fun. The story was good too. It's about friendship despite social status and loyalty and love between family and relationship. Especially the portrayal of a father’s love his son who is even willing to risk political power for his son which I think is the part of this movie. It’s the kind of drama that you miss the characters so much after watching it.

I watched A Gentleman’s Dignity because of ate Aya’s recommendation and Lee Jung Hun presence. This drama is also fun especially the opening of each episode portraying the 4 Gentleman’s Past and how they started and valued their friendship. The ladies are also fun, despite their age difference and status, they still manage to get along very well because of the Gentlemen! I think this drama has one of the great ending’s I have watched because it’s not too fast forward. I really enjoyed watching this.

For Sungkyunkwan Hotties and Sexy Gentlemen, I give 5 stars.

PS: OSTs are addictive specially My Love by Lee Jung Hyun. :)

He looked so cool with black suit! Now, what's gonna happen with him? His already weak I'm worried as much as Frankenstein do...

Noblesse: Rai

I miss Rai while he was hibernating and his friends are busy fighting against the union. The scenes are really getting intense now where clan leaders helping each other, evil vs good... I just can't wait for the next EP. How will the enemy react with his presence on he battle field.

Those eyes are really angry! "KNEEL!"

I watched this because I missed YSH so much after watching him at Missing You and knowing that he enlisted already. I like the story but hated the ending. Why does Yoo Un have to die? Why Yang Choo Rip have to be like that? Why do the Sky Lords’ subordinates have to go against his orders well in fact it was for their own good too? I know already about the ending that Yoo Un have to die, but with that reason, I find it very shallow. It was way better when they have just let Yoo Un alive and leave Hanyang just like how he planned it. That way, viewers will have a light heart after watching the drama. I really wanna crush Cho Rip’s face. He is the real evil in the drama.

Yoo Seung Ho Enlistment

His so manly here. I Miss You already.

After watching Yoo Seung Ho in his latest drama I Miss You, I have been a bit obsessed and been wanting to see him more often specially with that shy smile that melts me away. Damn this kid, so cute. Well, I didn’t know he has planned to enlist early in ROK. I didn’t also bother reading news lately due to my busy schedule. I think he is the first Korean Male stars I have known to enlist at his early 20’s. Unlike other Korean actors such KNG, Hyun Bin, Rain, etc enlisted to ROK at their late 20’s.

Now I think about it, getting enlisted to army in an early age must be a good and wise decision among Korean stars as it will not interrupt their carrier if they do it later. My respect also to YSH for that matured decision he made. I mean it was cool right?

Now I think about it, the first time I saw this on TV was at Queen Seon Deok as Kim ChunChu. He was really cute during that time. Then later watched him as the Jade Emperor in Arang and the Magistrate, Kang Baek Ho in Operation Proposal and as Kang Hyun Jun in I Miss You. Right now I’m still watching his previous drama Warrior Baek Dung Soo. Arrrrgh. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna miss this kid. I’ll just probably watch his previous dramas and movies while he is in ROK.

Well, I’m gonna miss this kid and will definitely wait for his comeback after 2 years. T.T

How To Disable Globe Tattoo Toolbar Permanently

It’s not only me and I know there are many Globe Tattoo users out there who also gets annoyed with the Toolbar. That small violet squared thing that appears on the lower right side of your browser. Few months ago, they have launched the toolbar. Even after doing some research on how to get rid of it, I still can’t figure how to so instead I bookmarked the unsubscribe link. So every time I clear my cache or use an incognito mode for browsing, I will have to click the link just to get rid of the toolbar since it doesn’t leave permanently. Aside from it's annoying, I also noticed that when the toolbar is active, it affects my browsing speed. It sometimes slows my browser specially when using my netbook. Does anyone experience that also? Or was it just me...

Well anyway, just recently, I noticed that the unsubscribe link doesn’t work anymore. No matter how many times I click it, the toolbar doesn’t leave my browser. Frustrated and annoyed again, I search again for any methods on how to get rid of it but to no luck, nothing worked. Then later I found out after clicking on the menus on the toolbar that it can be permanently disabled. In case you didn’t find the menu yet, here’s how to disable Globe Tattoo toolbar permanently.

  • Hover over your mouse on the toolbar. Usually you'll find it on the lower right side of your browser.

  • After you hover over it, the menus will show then click on the button with the Question Mark.

  • You'll then be given another set of menus, click on the Disable Button, the with an X.

  • Then click " I WANT TO DISABLE MY TATTOO TOOLBAR PERMANENTLY' and that's it.
Glad that Globe had finally figured it out how to permanently get rid with Globe Tattoo toolbar. Now let's continue browsing... :)

K-Drama: Can We Get Married?

Category: Movie
Genre: Korean Drama

cr to hancinema

As I write my short review for this drama, I was thinking why did I start watching this?

That was probably when I was bored and really was looking for my dose of Korean drama and ended up watching Can We Get Married?. I first recognized Jung So Min from Bad Guy and Playful Kiss, which is why I probably decided to watch this.

I got hooked from the very first episode because the story is more realistic that the usual K-Drama I have watched. No magic spells or flying objects, no overly rich characters or the super perfect boy next door that every girl wished of. It tells more about the reality among couples and families, how they manage their life and how they cope up with it.

Our first couple Hye Yun and Jung Hoon is the main leads here. Hye Yun is from a poor family where she was raised by her overly annoying mother. She has inferiority complex and envied his boyfriend’s family because they seemed perfect. Jung Hoon, raised from a rich family and work as a toy designer. He’s the guy who is willing to do everything for her manipulating girlfriend, Hye Yoon. Their relationship was perfect for them until it starts to drip off after they planned to get married. Personality issues, social status and annoying mother from both sides are among the reasons. I was glad my mom is not like their mother.

Dong Bi and Gi Joong, best friends of the main leads, are both from rich family. They are dating for 5 years and broke up when the guy was set up to marry someone else as business engagement. Deul Rae and Min Ho are the late bloomer couple. They are less problematic and happy go lucky pair which I think that gives humor to this drama. Hae Jin and Do Hyun are the problematic couples undergoing divorce trial. These two are the most complicated pair in this drama. Dr. and Mrs Ha, parents of Jung Hoon, are the lovely couple in this drama. They are old but still really love each other. They are the perfect picture for Grow Old with You relationship. Deul Ja, Hae Yun and Hye Jin mother, is I think the antagonist and the cause of the problem in this drama. She is very annoying and always wears those vibrant blue eye shadows which she thinks really look good on her. She deserved her ending in the drama. NOTE: She didn’t die! :)

I am glad I watched this drama. It’s not a waste of my time because as I watched it, I got lessons learned. Congratulations to the writer and staffs. It was a really great drama!
