December Haul: Mamonde, Clio, Aritaum and more

I still have enough stocks that will last me until next year but still, I get tempted to buy some for myself...

Until I notice I have bought too many for this month. Hahah! It's Christmas, and sale is everywhere! :)

I got some Mamonde Sheet Mask, my first Clio item which is a brow Mascara, Maybelline lippies I bought at Watsons, Etude House and the Faceshop items I bought during my trip at Cebu, Aritaum, Iope and ACH cream I got from my pre-ordered items.

On this haul, my favorite is the Aritaum Pudding tint 'coz it taste so sweet on my lips. I hope I can find time to review all of these next year.

May we all have a Happy Holidays 2015 and a more beautiful skin in 2016!

Thank You BPI Cards!

I have been a BPI credit card holder for more than 2 years now and it is really seldom that I can enjoy their perks for a couple of reason. One, I live in the province. As far as I know, most of the partner establishment where promos and discount privileges are accepted are situated on big cities only. Two, I am not a heavy shopper. It is very seldom that I can claim freebies for their regular promo like free Jollibee or Chowking, etc. as most of my transactions on my card nowadays is just less than 2500 pesos.

And out of the blue, tsaddaaa!
They gave me a P500 gift certificate for ZALORA PH with no minimum spend. I was so happy upon receiving this few days ago. I have been looking for a new gym bag for a few weeks now but since most of the bags that I like are quite expensive I was still saving for it. Luckily, BPI was just in time, and gave me a ZALORA PH certificate. And without many thoughts, I used it right away. hahaha!

And I decide to buy a backpack from Nike. Quality wise, I know Nike bags is not on the top but I still bought it because it is spacious and very light. Just perfect for my gym items during weekends. My boyfriend had a Nike bag that we also bought from ZALORA PH a few years ago. So I quite expect what quality I would get from this one.

Online it is marked as yellow but upon arrival it is neon, which I am okay with. It is lively and is almost 50% off. :) So I can't complain more! Hahaha

As always, a hassle free shopping with ZALORA PH and got the item delivered in just 4 days.

If you are also planning to purchase on Zalora Ph, you can use discount code ZBAPZSFT and enjoy 15% off.

Thank you BPI and ZALORA PH.

Happy customer! :)

February Haul: Missha Goodies

Ahhhhhwww. Finally, this batch just arrived in time. This is actually part of my Christmas shopping for my Korean skin care and just been delivered this month. Sales and promos, I easily get brain-washed with such marketing. Though I ended up almost broke, but it was fun. Hehe!

Ssaera's February haul
Just to clarify it with you guys, I don't spend on products just to make a review on them. I intend and actually use them. Some of the products are actually new to me so I have to be cautious as I have a very sensitive skin. It may take a while before I can try them all (and I can't wait to try them all!) One by one, I will incorporate them on my routine, that way it will be easier for me to see any good and bad reaction. It had to be boxed coz the Missha gift sets won't fit the pouches.

The freebie samplers, pepero and the pouch is a gift. Happy customer here... :) The freebies are addicting you know. I am actually more excited to see what freebies I would get on my orders. Haha!

I have here:

> Missha Pure Source Sheet Masks Tea Tree and Pearl
> Missha Near Skin Firming Peptide Gift Set
> Missha Time Revolution Ampoule and Essence Gift Set
> Missha Super Aqua D-Tox Peeling Gel
> Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #23
> Missha Time Revolution White Cute Science Blanc Spot Eraser
> Missha M Prism Luminous Mist
> Missha Soothing Care Lip Scrub
> Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel (3 tubs for my hair, mom also uses them too)
> Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder
> And those samplers... which I am so happy to collect. They are very handy during travels.

Missha Near Skin Firming Peptide Set. Ain't they gorgeous?

Missha had a 40% off sale that time so I was like oh get me this and this and this one too and blah.. Aside from that, Missha is my first love on Korean Skin Care products, their products just go pretty well on my sensitive skin. Even their Pure Source Tea Tree Mask is really effective on me compared to Etude House which I had last December. I had a bad break out lately and I am not sure what caused it and I haven't change anything on my routine. Glad the Tea Tree Mask helped me control the redness. And this box came just right on time as I only have one Pure Source Tea Tree masks left on my treasure chest. I will make a proper review on that when I get the chance next week.

So there you have it, my investment for this month! :)

My Korean Skin Care Haul (December)

This is actually my first Korean skin care haul like buying all kinds of stuff to try on.

No it's not, this is not my first time buying a Korean skin care. I started with BB creams then mask sheets etc but only 1 product at a time because they're too expensive here in the Philippines. This time I got so impulsive and felt so excited finding someone selling online for a lower price than buying at a mall. I ended up hauling products.

On my bag:

1. Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner: Sensitive
2. Nature Republic Botanical Tint Mousse SPF15 (Coral and Strawberry)
3. The Faceshop Clean Face Oil Control BB Cream
4. The Faceshop Clean Face Spot Corrector

The Kerasys Shampoo and Bar Soap was a freebie from my friendly seller. And also the samplers I got from him as gift too. Thanks so much!

I have waited for like a more than a month to get my hands on these products and I am so excited to start using them all. The first to try on my list is the Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner: Sensitive since my Missha Toner is almost running out. I just can't wait to try it.

My second bag for next month's order will be a Missha filled haul. I am also uber excited for that. :))

And that doesn't end here yet for this month. When I went to Cebu for a short Christmas holiday, I also did some shopping at Etude House and Missha. I just can't resist the urge to shop every time I pass by their store. (Hello Princess!)

Korean Haul

On my Etude House bag:

1. Milky You Cleansing Milk
2. AC Clinic Intense Red Spot Balm with Cleansing Foam
3. AC Clinic Extractor
4.Tea Tree Mask Sheet
5. Pearl Mask Sheet
6. Bright Eyes Patch
7. Don't Worry Happy Change Lip Balm

Plus I got a Wonder Pore toner and lip tint samplers as a freebie. Also got a Pink Card membership. I actually like their pink card. I think this is actually granted to customers for free when your purchase reach their required amount. The pink card is actually a rewards program for Etude House PH princesses wherein when you shop at a minimum of 100, you will get a rebate of 2%. When your points accumulate, you can use it to purchase at Etude House PH stores nationwide. Plus the design is so lovely and elegant.

Then I passed by Missha kiosk and actually bought the full size Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Foam which is very expensive compared to buying online. But of course you don't have to wait for a month to get your item, if you really need the product and don't mind paying the price. Who cares right? Had no choice but to buy it actually coz my travel size is almost empty and it wouldn't last until January I think. The full size is actually really huge and would last for months on me.

Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Foam

I also got these Papaya soap from Yanhee, Thailand. These are not Korean but I just want to include them though. I ordered them at 120 each tub from my college friend who is now working in Thailand. I can't wait to try them too. :)

Yanhee Papaya Soap

And lastly some Nature Republic products from Lazada, the Water Tint #02 and Aloe Vera soothing gel.

Nature Republic and Water Tint #02 and Aloe Vera Soothing Gel

I ended up broke going home... Hahaha. Retail therapy doesn't always help. But I was enjoying it. Just can't wait to try them all...

Diary Entry #34: My CitiBank Credit Card Application

I am just so thrilled I got approved for a Citibank Card. I didn't expect that to happen. So thrilled that even at this midnight I had to type in and share how excited I am.

What so great about having a credit card anyway? Utang na naman yan.!

I am not a fan of loans and debts, but there are times that you really have to. I already have a BPI secured card, for the past year and half using it, I find it helpful managing my finances and paying my bills easier than queuing at the payment center. To avoid debts from overspending, I always see to it that I have enough money to pay my bill even if my salary will be late.

So during my stay at Cebu, I happen to see the Citibank agents at SM Cebu Supermarket and this lady agent came to approach me and ask if I want to apply and take advantage of their existing Free Annual Fee For Life promo. Though I really want to apply but I did not bother entertaining her because I know I won't get approve due to the nature of my work. After a few minutes of talking and the possible explanation why I was disapproved from previous application even if I already had a BPI credit card, I got convinced to try it again this time and I told her that I will just approach her after we finish shopping for our goodies. Then after paying the cashier, I head back to their kiosk to fill the form.

So I just fill the form, provide her my ID and credit card for documentation. Then they gave me the blue Citibank umbrella. Di bale disapproved, may payong naman ako!

Here is my FREE umbrella. Very useful this rainy season.

It took almost 15 days for the entire application

August 29: Filled out the form and got my free umbrella
September 4: Got a confirmation text that my application was received
September 9: Got a confirmation text that my application was approved
September 16: My card arrived! Yey!

Not bad this time. Thanks Citibank!

Buddha's Surf Resort Siargao, Phillippines

After booking our tickets to Siargao through Cebu Pacific's Piso fare, I spent whole night looking for a place to stay in Siargao. Since it will be my first time there and none of my friends can actually give me a good tips about there so I had to do a research on my own.

So all my search lead me to Buddha's. So I inquired and made a reservation online by emailing them. I booked the superior room with breakfast at P 2650.00 per night. I initially booked for 3 nights only, then our flight was re-booked so I had to add another 1 night.

At the airport we were greeted by the driver with my name on the sign board. It was a good idea to book your airport transfer as I don't notice any public vehicle around the airport. The trip from the airport to the resort is almost 1 hour at 60/km drive. At the resort, we were greeted by the staff with all smiles that will make you feel really welcome. As you enter, there bar is on the right side, a place to a volleyball and a little walk will be 5 room building. Ours was the only room on the second floor. After the staff showed us our room, about 5 minutes our welcome drinks was serve. Too bad I was not able to enjoy it as it has a cola. I don't drink cola.

Birthday boy playing candy crush

This is the view from our room. The place is well maintained and very clean. The green grounds where you can play or just relax at the hammocks. You can play badminton here, you can borrow rackets at the bar.

Our room was big and very spacious. I didn't had the to take a picture though but it was really neat. It has its own walk in closet so no need worry about cluttered clothes all over. The bathroom was also huge. Mattress is very comfortable plus the very large flat screen TV is our favourite. The room is quite pricey from but from the amenities and the service I receive from staff. It was all worth it.

Aside from the excellent accommodation, the food at Buddha's Surf Resort Siargao was the best and is a must try. They serve one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. There Angus beef burger and Tuna Sandwich was really delicious. The only downside is that the serving time which takes longer than usual. But it was all worth the wait. You should also try their Burrito and Curry. My bf loves their curry.

Surprisingly, the internet connection in Siargao is pretty good. I didn't have problems doing my work while I was there. Also, Cloud 9 is a bit far (2.5 km) from the resort, but you can rent a motor bike.

It was fun staying here. :)

Diary Entry # 32: Surprise!

As they say, killer cramps are not normal.

Normally during my period, I don’t feel anything except that I am tired. Unlike my girl friends, I don’t experience any pain or cramps or any uncomfortable issues during my 3-day monthly period. Early this year, I have noticed pain during my period especially during bowel movements. I have a higher tolerance with pain, but this one is different. It felt like something is stuck and my BM is forcing its way out. I just ignored it at first thinking it was nothing. As months passes by, it continues to occur every period.

It was really painful that whatever it is I am doing forces me stop. It usually occurs on my first and second day of my period during my bowel movement. While sitting my throne in the toilet and let the bowel flow, I sometime clench my hands on the walls feeling the pain while those shits' coming out. The pain sometimes makes me cry while on the toilet.

So I finally decided to visit my Gyne and have my pelvic checked.  Everything else is normal, no mass or any enlargements found except that I have a retroverted uterus. She mentioned endometriosis. Then I started to get worried. After explaining a bit about the condition, what makes me worried more is when she advised to get pregnant sooner as there will be a possibility of infertility if pregnancy is delayed.

I am 27, and have a boyfriend who love kids a lot. We have plans already, when, marriage, kids. When I told him about it, we we’re both shocked as we are still not ready to have a kid on our own. Financially, we are not yet stable and still trying to enjoy our salary for ourselves-clothes, travels, gadgets and saving only a bit for the future. Mentally, our mind is not yet set for marriage. We have not expected this to happen and we are both stunned as if everything will have to be fast forward.

Life is full of surprises they say. Whatever will come on our lives, I hope it’s the better part.

Diary Entry #30

2013 came by so fast and we are already in the middle of it. What may have happened during the past 6 months was great and hoping for the next 6 months will be filled with more blessings, thrills and adventures.

January to June was not that busy. Fewer vacations and more time working at home. But July to December will be busy I bet. I’ll be busy working too much to save for my Birthday, Hong Kong, Davao, Singapore and monthly travel to Cebu for my Derma visits. Good thing I don’t have a family that depends on me alone, I have more time to do this things.

My working student is now graduating in High School. Time flies that fast without noticing it.

Jenn is now engaged to JR. It’s been 1 year since she left for Taiwan and now is back. Got tons of dark chocolate and a blue hobo bag from her.

Jocurt is now on nursery. My girlfriends’ babies are now starting to go to school, but I still don’t have my own kid to look after too. It’s a no-no for this time for many reasons though I wished I have one.

Acne problems came back after a year of hiatus! Hahahaha… So I have to go back to my treatment which at this time is very expensive. Cost me 10k for the medicines. I was like… What? And not included the monthly 2k facial treatment. I feel like… I should be beautiful the next day for these expensive medicines.

Now trying to live a healthier life, went back to exercising, 8 minute crunches daily, more fluid intakes, and more veges and fruits. I feel that my body is getting old and have to start living correctly after abusing it during my college and early adult years. I’ll be 28 soon, the next thing I know, I’ll be thirty!

I miss my life as kid! J

Noblesse Rai (278)

cr to egscans and creators

He looked so cool with black suit! Now, what's gonna happen with him? His already weak I'm worried as much as Frankenstein do...

March 28, 2013

Noblesse: Rai

I miss Rai while he was hibernating and his friends are busy fighting against the union. The scenes are really getting intense now where clan leaders helping each other, evil vs good... I just can't wait for the next EP. How will the enemy react with his presence on he battle field.

Those eyes are really angry! "KNEEL!"

Yoo Seung Ho Enlistment

His so manly here. I Miss You already.

After watching Yoo Seung Ho in his latest drama I Miss You, I have been a bit obsessed and been wanting to see him more often specially with that shy smile that melts me away. Damn this kid, so cute. Well, I didn’t know he has planned to enlist early in ROK. I didn’t also bother reading news lately due to my busy schedule. I think he is the first Korean Male stars I have known to enlist at his early 20’s. Unlike other Korean actors such KNG, Hyun Bin, Rain, etc enlisted to ROK at their late 20’s.

Now I think about it, getting enlisted to army in an early age must be a good and wise decision among Korean stars as it will not interrupt their carrier if they do it later. My respect also to YSH for that matured decision he made. I mean it was cool right?

Now I think about it, the first time I saw this on TV was at Queen Seon Deok as Kim ChunChu. He was really cute during that time. Then later watched him as the Jade Emperor in Arang and the Magistrate, Kang Baek Ho in Operation Proposal and as Kang Hyun Jun in I Miss You. Right now I’m still watching his previous drama Warrior Baek Dung Soo. Arrrrgh. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna miss this kid. I’ll just probably watch his previous dramas and movies while he is in ROK.

Well, I’m gonna miss this kid and will definitely wait for his comeback after 2 years. T.T

Groupon.ph Did It Again - Delivery failed!

Category: Internet Shopping

I already had a bad experience with groupon.ph previously with a very late delivery. And now, they did it again, almost 3 months from expected date of delivery and still nothing has been received. I contacted their support through facebook, and it’s so funny when they replied that the item is for OTD, which when I asked the representative what does OTD means and replied that it stands for On-Time Delivery when it’s already very late.

It’s very frustrating and annoying when other group buying companies can manage on time deliveries and then groupon.ph always never fail to deliver it late – or never delivers. Right now I doubt it if I can really receive my order. This site is really out on my shopping sites!

Update: 1-10-13

Whoah! After sending numerous email and getting the same reply from their support. My item finally arrived! Why do I have to pay P60? Hay naku! Gikapoy nako sa ilang pamaagi!

Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas!

I am glad I went shopping for presents. It wouldn’t be that fun if I didn’t. It’s a joy seeing them laughing while seeing opening their gifts. Of course, I didn’t forget to wrap for myself. J

I got myself, Mom and Sister-in-law a Terranova pull over. I was tempted to buy the Buy 2 Take the 3rd one for 65 pesos. I bought bro a file manager for his messy papers in his workshop. I got condiment bottles for my Cook brother, a Fender picks for younger brother and the new phone for paps. I decided to give it as a Christmas present instead of letting him borrow the money to buy coz I know, he will not pay either. (Hahaha!) BF got a tshirt when I visited him in Cebu. Got toys for the kids. And BF gave me new Lee Cooper polo. Can’t wat to wear that! :D

It's not about the presents though, it's about giving back to the people who cared for you! That just my way of saying thank to my family.

Goodbye Multiply

December 1 was the last day for multiply users using the social network features. I am one of them. I am a member since college days and use multiply to save and share mostly pictures. It's like a bank for my images. It makes me sad to say goodbye but then what can I do except to import all my pictures to my PC. They provided a tool to import the pictures but it was BIG mess. Everything is downloaded from one link all together and you have to sort it after. It was difficult for me coz I have hundred albums to sort. To save myself from headache, I just bid goodbye to the memories that was not downloaded.

I’m going to miss multiply! :(

Honda Bay Palawan (Day 3)

Category: Travel Destination
Location: Honda Bay, Palawan

And my last tour schedule for was set for Honda Bay.

Around 8AM, I was already fetched by the tour guide. Before going to the pier, we had to stop by a snorkeling gear hop for those who want to snorkel.

Our first stop is the Pambato Reef. This is a guided snorkeling spot where you have to follow the ropes to find your way and get to view the beautiful area under the ocean.

Next was the Isla Pandan, we stayed here until 2 PM. We had our lunch here too. It was a great sunny day which makes the island more beautiful with the blue waters and white sands surrounding it.

By 2 PM, we were set to go back to the main Puerto Prinsesa. Before that, we stopped by at this island for about 15 minutes for picture taking.

And that's all for my Honday Bay tour. :) Coming back? Hmmm.. I guess not, but it was beautiful though.

Diary Entry #20

I had a UTI, this was the second time I had developed but this time, the pain I felt on my right flank area was unbearable during night time.

I don’t eat too much Junk Foods/Chips nor drink cola or softdrinks. I stopped drinking cola when I was 13. That is why people around me usually asked why I develop UTI when I don’t drink cola/softdrinks. It’s because I don’t drink water much. My water intake is only during meal time.

The first time I had UTI was 10 years ago (I was 16) of the same month. I can still remember mom saying that she was surprised I was very sick when I can usually endure fever when I get sick. But that was really different then, I can still remember how much my head hurts that I cried resulted to my admission in the hospital only to find out I have UTI.

Right now, the pain on my right flank was unbearable during night time. I can’t walk around my room because my flanked hurts too much during the 1st – 3rd day after I started my antibiotics (Ciprobay). On the 4th day, I requested for IV insertion instead because I don’t have any appetite and started vomiting any food intake. Even the water taste makes me nauseous. I consumed 6 bottles in 2 days.

Now I am fine, I forced myself to consume water as much as I can. I don’t want to feel that pain again. Aside from that, I only have 2 kidneys. The doctor already advised me to take care of it.
