Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas!

I am glad I went shopping for presents. It wouldn’t be that fun if I didn’t. It’s a joy seeing them laughing while seeing opening their gifts. Of course, I didn’t forget to wrap for myself. J

I got myself, Mom and Sister-in-law a Terranova pull over. I was tempted to buy the Buy 2 Take the 3rd one for 65 pesos. I bought bro a file manager for his messy papers in his workshop. I got condiment bottles for my Cook brother, a Fender picks for younger brother and the new phone for paps. I decided to give it as a Christmas present instead of letting him borrow the money to buy coz I know, he will not pay either. (Hahaha!) BF got a tshirt when I visited him in Cebu. Got toys for the kids. And BF gave me new Lee Cooper polo. Can’t wat to wear that! :D

It's not about the presents though, it's about giving back to the people who cared for you! That just my way of saying thank to my family.

Goodbye Multiply

December 1 was the last day for multiply users using the social network features. I am one of them. I am a member since college days and use multiply to save and share mostly pictures. It's like a bank for my images. It makes me sad to say goodbye but then what can I do except to import all my pictures to my PC. They provided a tool to import the pictures but it was BIG mess. Everything is downloaded from one link all together and you have to sort it after. It was difficult for me coz I have hundred albums to sort. To save myself from headache, I just bid goodbye to the memories that was not downloaded.

I’m going to miss multiply! :(

Honda Bay Palawan (Day 3)

Category: Travel Destination
Location: Honda Bay, Palawan

And my last tour schedule for was set for Honda Bay.

Around 8AM, I was already fetched by the tour guide. Before going to the pier, we had to stop by a snorkeling gear hop for those who want to snorkel.

Our first stop is the Pambato Reef. This is a guided snorkeling spot where you have to follow the ropes to find your way and get to view the beautiful area under the ocean.

Next was the Isla Pandan, we stayed here until 2 PM. We had our lunch here too. It was a great sunny day which makes the island more beautiful with the blue waters and white sands surrounding it.

By 2 PM, we were set to go back to the main Puerto Prinsesa. Before that, we stopped by at this island for about 15 minutes for picture taking.

And that's all for my Honday Bay tour. :) Coming back? Hmmm.. I guess not, but it was beautiful though.

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park Tour (Day 2)

Category: Travel Destination
Location: Puerto Princesa, Palawan

The famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park Tour was the schedule for our 2nd day. The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is now one of the New7Wonders of Nature. I was thankful I had the chance to visit this place. What makes this tour more enjoyable was my tour mates who were beautiful family taking a vacation together. The day was more fun being with them. Too bad I have a bad memory, I can’t remember their names na.

On our way to the famous PPUR, we had many stops. I was fetched by the new tour guide, Jane around 8:30 AM.

10:30AM – Our first stop is Buenavista Viewdeck. Oh, not really, I think it the 2nd one, I forgot that we stopped at a tourist comfort room first where a little girl asked me for a bless (mano po) while waiting for the rest. Going back to Buenavista, when we arrived there, the young girls started dancing a Hawaiian dance to welcome us. I took pictures from the breathtaking view of Ulugan Bay during our stop for about 10 minutes and head back to our van.

Ulugan Bay, 180 degree view from the view deck
10:58AM – Ugong Rock Adventure was our next destination. You can do Zip line and Spelunking here which I didn’t try, I enjoyed myself by looking around the plants and other tourist while waiting for my tour mates who went to try the activities.

12:34PM – We stopped by at Karsdt Mountain to take pictures for about 10 minutes. I am already hungry!!

Karsdt Mountain
Karsdt Mountain
12:59PM – We finally arrived at Sabang Beach. We had to walk about 100 meters along the beach side for our lunch which is a little bit of a disappointment for me. I didn’t like the food that much and it’s not even looking delicious. It’s not the kind of food I usually get when eating in a buffet. I was expecting a buffet like what we get to see in Boracay where you can choose from several seafood dishes!

Sabang Beach
1:30PM – After our lunch, we head back to the port for our banca ride going to the Famous Underground River. We had to wait for a few minutes to get our assigned bancas. The ride going to island is bit rough because the tides are starting to get stronger. It took us around 20min to get to the island.

2:08PM – And finally, we arrived at the island. We took pictures for a while and wait for our travel guide to finish the arrangements necessary for the tour. The island has a wild animals roaming around, and beforehand, we were told not to feed any of the wild animals. Also we were warned with our bags and plastics bags because the monkeys around the island may grab it.

2:20PM – We head to the entrance of the underground river where the tourist wait for their number to called. So while waiting for our number, we took pictures around the island. Everybody in the group was busy with their camera, smiles and pose. Then suddenly it started to rain for about 20-30 minutes and we have to stop what we are doing.

Entrance to the Underground river
3:01PM – Finally it’s our turn. Everybody on the group is ready with their helmets and life jackets. The teens in our family are just so excited which makes me feel excited too. As we slowly enter the cave, the boat man which also acts our guide, started to lecture us about the cave. Inside is very dark and all that we have is the flashlight to light our path. I was kinda freaking a bit inside thinking for a crocodile would suddenly emerge from the waters or the cave would suddenly crumble and we will be trapped inside. Thought it was dark inside, it will also give you the best view for the stalactites and stalagmites that are shining like a diamond. You can also see inside the cave different formation of stalactites and stalagmites such as the cathedral, Mary, vegetables and many more. There is also a bat cave where most of the bats inside the river stay.

3:44PM – We have finished the tour which runs for about 45 minutes and I was really relieved to see the sunlight.

3:55PM – We went back to beach where our banca going back to Sabang was waiting. Then it suddenly rained. So we had to stay until the rain slows down.

4:13PM – The rain slows down so we took the ride back. But instead while we are on the middle of our trip, it suddenly rain again and the ocean current are starting to get stronger. But everybody kept calm until we reached the mainland. Everybody was soaked with both rain and sea.

4:30PM – After washing up, though not all of us have brought extra clothes, we immediately leave for the city. And on our way, everybody was asleep including me and except the driver.

Around 6PM – I asked the driver to drop me at Robinson’s and bid my goodbye to my lovely tour mates. They even invite me to join them at Kinabuch, but I declined politely though I really want to.
My 2nd day at Palawan was the day I enjoyed the most.

Happy Kid at the end of the day! :)

Palawan City Tour Experience (Day - 1)

Category: Travel Destination
Location: Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Here's my Puerto Prinsesa City tour experience. As what normally tours are, you are only given 15 - 20 minutes each destination for picture taking and sight-seeing. Introduction and history telling was usually done by our tour guide in the van. Usual payment is 600 pesos.

07:05AM – Arrived at Cebu early in the morning. I visited the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu and had breakfast nearby before heading to Mactan Airport for my Puerto Prinsesa flight.

11:32AM – Our plane landed safely at Puerto Princesa Airport and the pension driver to pick me up was already waiting outside. I love how the van kept clean and comfy. When I arrived at the Tres Pensionne House, the place is quite and relaxing. I love the place but I hate that it’s a bit far from the main road.

01:21PM – The tour guide picked me up at the pensione house. I like him a lot as his so lovely and friendly. When I went to the van, a family who’s also on tour was with us. And later went to Astoria to pick up 2 Japanese nationals who are also booked with us for the City Tour.

02:21PM – We arrived at our first stop, at the Baker’s Hill. The place is quite nice and relaxing, well-maintained and picturesque landscapes. Inside, there is also a restaurant where you can order foods, the bakery, souvenir shop which sells t-shirts and also outside the bakery are few tables selling pearls. I love the chocolate crinkle sold in the bakery, it is very delicious. After 1 hour, we moved to our next destination.

L: One of the beautiful landscapes found at Baker's Hill
R: These are real flowers arranged beautifully
03:19PM – Not so far from the Baker’s Hill is the Mitras Ranch. According to the tour guide, the place is the rest house of the Mitra family. Well, the place is really nice and is really good for relaxing except for the busy tourist. Zip line and horse back riding is also available here but you have to pay for it if you want to try. We stayed here for 15 minutes for picture taking and headed to our next stop.

View on Mitra's Ranch ruined by the remains from a forest fire
03:46PM – Our next destination is the Crocodile Farm, the home of the largest crocodile in the Philippines before Lolong. It’s like a mini zoo, not only crocodiles are found here but some of the rare animals that we don’t usually see are also found here and not just that, you can take pictures with them for only 20-30 php.

The crocodiles!

04:50PM – After the world famous Calvin Klein ordered stuffs from Binuatan Creations, it became famous and became one of the tourist destination for city tour in Puerto Prinsesa. The staffs here will teach you how to weave the placemats and will let you do it too. Also, a store is located inside where you can also buy their products placemats, bags, wallets, etc at reasonable price.

05:16PM – We went to Plaza Cuartel, it is said that in this place is where the American soldiers were killed by the Japanese. According to our tour guide, the underground which was the prison cell is kept close because of the deadly gas fumes that can still be harmful among locals.

05:30PM – Just across Plaza Cuartel the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. The tour guide will let you visit for about 5-10minutes for picture taking and pray for Catholics like me.

06:15PM – We headed to a pearl store which I forgot the name. The pearls are so attractive and I regretted it I didn’t buy a pair for the South Sea Pearl.

06:30PM – The other group with us asked to take them to the souvenir shop or the tyangge. I bought few t-shirt and some cashew nut products. I love the cashew Tart they sell there. The time is very limited so I wasn’t able to buy everything I wanted.

07:00PM – Headed back to Tres Pension House.

Overall, my Puerto Princesa City tour was not that great but good enough. Worth for what you paid for. My many thanks to the amazing tour guide (I think it was Jeffrey) who never fails to offer to take a picture for me instead of taking selcas myself.

Faith / Shinui

I watched this because of Lee Min Ho.

Poster credits to wikipedia
At first, I was enjoying the drama, specially the unique introduction during the first episode. The animinated presentation and the time travel from the past to present back to past. It was really interesting. Throughout the drama, the actors were great, they performed well and the story is good too. But sometimes, there are moments that are too dragging too. I think this was the first historical drama for Lee Min Ho. He performed it very well. As well as the High Doctor, she has performed well. She’s really cute too. Not to mention the nice progression of the king and queen's love story. This couple is so cute too... :)

On the last episode, seeing Lee Min Ho with beards kind of weird, I guess he will get old handsomely.

Arang and the Magistrate

Categories: Movies
Genre: Korean Drama

cr: image from Hancinema

I decided to watch this drama because of Shin Min Ah as I love her so much as Gumiho in My GF is a Gumiho. This sageuk drama tells about a ghost Arang who lost her memory and ask the Magistrate to help her find the truth about her death.

I enjoyed watching every episode. The the suspense, humor, the tears, the music and not to mention the action scenes are all great. The Shaman and Dol Sae are so perfect for each other. I had many funny scenes with them, also the Shaman character is so funny, especially when she is with Dol Sae. Her facial expressions are funny. Lee Joon Ki’s (Magistrate Kim Eun Ho) action scenes are always at its best (for me), aside from the fact that he doesn’t use a stunt to do it, plus this cool sound track played during his fight scenes. I just love that. He is more attractive during fight scenes. I usually watch this around 1AM, sometimes I get goosebumps watching the horror scenes and would refrain from looking at the mirror and the windows. (haha)

I was also satisfied how the drama ended. It seems everyone had a deserving ending. The evil fairy was destroyed by his Grim Reaper brother who also killed himself after he killed her sister. The magistrate’s mother was killed by his own son but was thankful because she was freed from torture. The Shaman became successful and Dol Sae became the Magistrate. They named their Son Eun Ho. Both Arang and the Magistrate died after they discover how Arang died. The magistrate sacrificed himself for Arang so she can go to heaven even it meant hell for him. Moo Yeong was reincarnated as a goat by the Jade Emperor and was given as a gift to Hades. Ju Wal who committed suicide by jumping off the cliff where he throws Lee Seo Rim’s body became a grim reaper. Lord Choi was killed by his assistant and became a ghost. Both Arang and the Magistrate where reincarnated but this time, Eun Ho is the one with memory loss. I just love the ending for everyone.

Well, I think I’m gonna miss this drama. And probably next year, I’m gonna watch this again. It’s all worth my time! It is surely on the Top for my favorite drama. Congratulations to all who made this drama successful. :)

Coffee Prince

Category: Movies
Genre: Korean Drama

cr: Image from Wikipedia
I watched this because of my friend keeps recommending it every time we talk about K-Dramas. It’s about a hardworking girl that needs to pretend to be a guy so she can work in a coffee shop. Hmmm. I would rate it 4 out of 5. Though the first few episodes were good but later I felt it’s dragging and boring. I also find the female character a bit annoying. It took me about a week to finish watching the series because I don’t find it very entertaining. I am not sure why I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoy other drama.

Diary Entry #20

I had a UTI, this was the second time I had developed but this time, the pain I felt on my right flank area was unbearable during night time.

I don’t eat too much Junk Foods/Chips nor drink cola or softdrinks. I stopped drinking cola when I was 13. That is why people around me usually asked why I develop UTI when I don’t drink cola/softdrinks. It’s because I don’t drink water much. My water intake is only during meal time.

The first time I had UTI was 10 years ago (I was 16) of the same month. I can still remember mom saying that she was surprised I was very sick when I can usually endure fever when I get sick. But that was really different then, I can still remember how much my head hurts that I cried resulted to my admission in the hospital only to find out I have UTI.

Right now, the pain on my right flank was unbearable during night time. I can’t walk around my room because my flanked hurts too much during the 1st – 3rd day after I started my antibiotics (Ciprobay). On the 4th day, I requested for IV insertion instead because I don’t have any appetite and started vomiting any food intake. Even the water taste makes me nauseous. I consumed 6 bottles in 2 days.

Now I am fine, I forced myself to consume water as much as I can. I don’t want to feel that pain again. Aside from that, I only have 2 kidneys. The doctor already advised me to take care of it.

You’re beautiful

Genre: Korean drama
Category: Movie
cr: image from wikipedia

As a late bloomer for K-drama, I watched You’re Beautiful this weekend. The only person I knew on the case was Jang Geun Seuk. Aside from that, I was also curious as to why this drama rated #1 as the most popular on the site where I usually watch drama. So I watched it the whole weekend.

It has a beautiful story though. You never get bored because there are really funny and cute scenes in every episode. Tae Kyung was clean freak and a perfectionist type of person. He always wanted to be the number 1. Jang portrayed this character very well. Shinwoo played by CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa. I have seen his face in some commercials with Yoon Si Yoon. I pitied his character in this drama. But then I still appreciate all the efforts he had done for Minam. A very cool guy. Jeremy played by Lee Hong Ki must be my favorite character in this drama. He is fun and warm to everyone. Thanks to this drama, I met Hong Ki, he really got a nice voice for alternative genre. Minam, the super lucky girl loved by the men around her.

Just one thing I have been expecting from this drama that it never happened even up to the end. The adult Minam and Minyu never even had a chance to interact with each other. And it was mentioned during the early episodes that these two are close to each other. Oh well, what can I do, it’s not my drama! Hehehe…

Anyways, I will watch this drama again. It didn’t cause me too much heartache and it’s really fun and enjoyable to watch.

Category: Products
Type: Clothing/Swimwear

I super love Soak Swimwear with its high class quality and classy designs. It’s a quality you can’t resist. Recently, I bought 2 sets of swimwear from their 500 Peso Sale Online. I do, I do

Category: Movies
Genre: Korean Drama

I decided to watch I do I do because I just want to see the shoe designs the models are wearing and the designs they will feature. But as I started following the drama weekly, I got caught up with story and with the leading characters. This is one of the romantic dramas I like to watch again and can recommend to my friends.

What I like about this drama is that the complexities are not that complicated and that anyone can enjoy watching it. I like how female lead portrait her character, despite of her strong and mean personality, she has still the heart and care for other people around her. The young male lead, despite how immature he seems, but because of her love to Medusa, he is willing to take responsibility and take care for her. The handsome doctor who remains a good friend to the couple, I so love his character! Both parents of Medusa and Park Tae Kang are funny!

This romantic comedy drama is good for those persons who would prefer to watch heartwarming story instead of heavy drama. This will be enjoyed much by anyone at anytime. Congrats to I do I do team for a job well done. And to the fast subbers thank you!

Now I can't wait for the Olympics to finish and watch Arang next! :)

COCOMO Swimsale

Category: Products
Type: Clothing/Swimwear

I love buying things on sale. Haha!

Here another addition to my Cocomo Collection. I bought this online during their Swimsale. I love transacting with Cocomo because Ms Kerstie is no nice, very accommodating and always prompt. I am assured for a worry free transaction. What I like about Cocomo Swimwears is that their designs are great plus, for such a high-end quality swimwear, the price is not too steep when it is not on sale. You can visit their site and check out their collections at cocomobeachwear.multiply.com

My Waikiki pair…. I really like the blue and red combination. J

And my Sentosa pair, BF loves this much! Hahaha

I can't wait for our Camotes trip next month! I hope the weather will cooperate too... :)

Fall in love with Love Rain

Category: Movies
Genre: Korean Drama
As far as I know Love Rain was one the most awaited Korean Drama early this year because of its star studded cast and a well known writer and director. Honestly, I didn’t have the chance to follow Love Rain during its airing in South Korea because I don’t know who the cast were (yeah, I know I am a late bloomer). I had my interest to watch this after I have watched Mary Stayed Out Last Night recommended by my friend.

This drama depicts a love story between the person who loves each other but never had the chance to be with each other. It is a beautiful story that shows no matter how long, love can wait even when you hair goes white. And because of the circumstances that the 2 person can’t be together, destiny still find its way and that feeling even continues to their kids. But life wasn’t easy for them. Kids have to sacrifice their relationship for their parents but because of the parents great love to their kids, they also have to sacrifice what they feel and let the kids live with the one they truly love instead. I’ll do the same thing if it’s for my son/daughter instead of seeing them living their miserably and painfully waiting and wishing to be with the one they truly love. That’s the best part watching this drama, I feel rewarded after watching Love rain.

Aside from the love story, I also love how the writer shows the value of friendship among the characters. That no matter what is there status in life, they still help and protect each other. The willingness to accept no matter what you have done, that despite of the troubles one have caused to the other, they still remain friends till the end.

I also love the cinematography in this drama, its one of the best. It portrays how beautiful it is to live during the 1970s, even how simple life can be, there are still a lot of things you can do to enjoy the life you have. The scenes are very romantic, especially when Yoona and Jang Geun Seuk were talking during the sunset. That picture is still on my mind. The transition from the 70s to present is beautiful too. The Diamond Snow scene is very refreshing to watch. I am really proud for the production team that they were able to find such attractive places. I really want to visit these places in the future.

Honestly speaking though, this melodrama is bit dragging in some episodes. The pacing is so slow that sometimes you feel waiting for what will happen next is such an agony. If only they did it a bit faster, it’ll be more interesting. But nonetheless, the time I have spent watching Love Rain is all worth it! I am satisfied after watching all the episodes.

Special mention to the OST Shiny Love, it is my favorite classical music these days. I feel good every time I listen to it. Each time I listen to this song, all the good memories and the beautiful sceneries I have seen in Love Rain fill my imagination which makes me feel good and relaxed.

To the staffs and actors for Love Rain, Congratulations and thank you for such a wonderful drama!!!

As always, Prince Jang Geun Seuk is so cool here!! :)

Mary Stayed Out Last Night

My friend recommended this K-drama. I watch it because I know the female lead from Innocent Steps before. Jang Geun Seok at this time is still unknown to my world.

The drama is never boring. I get tons of laughs and cheezzzy moments watching this. Haha! I was able to finish everything in 1 day. Good thing it was weekend, I didnt have to worry about not getting enough sleep. Jang Geun Seuk is so cool as always. No wonder most of my friends always recommended this drama. Too much to say! This drama is DAEBAK!!!

Now I think I should watch Hes Beautiful ASAP!

Diary Entry #18

It’s been 2 weeks now since I have stopped working with my regular work online. I don’t know what went wrong with the team but it seems that our working time were reduced from 8 hours to 3 hours or sometimes you have no work at all. The boss is a good a person but I wonder what happened though. So I decided to quit. This is just the downside when you work online, you have security and not sure until when is the company will be active, anytime you have to stop.

I am working online for almost 3 years now. Since I have passed the board exam, I didn’t have the chance to work as a nurse since I am more comfortable working online. I am just being practical during the first years that, that if I force myself to work as a volunteer nurse (which in the first place I never wanted to), I will have to work without pay, be more susceptive to diseases and will have to ask my parents for allowance to pay for my expense working in the hospital. Though that time I already have worked online part time but my salary is not enough to pay everything on my bills.

Now, I am kind of confused to what should I so with my life. I always complain to myself that I am so boring. Since high school I rarely go out of my room, I rarely join the dinner with my family and always stay at my room making collage, collecting articles from the newspaper and making scrap books, something that I always find enjoyable to do before. But now I realized that my life is really boring, that I think I had too much with my comfort zone. I wanted to go out but I am afraid I might not make it out there. At my age, I still have nothing to brag about what are my accomplishments in my career except that I have passed the board exam but have not used my license at all. I want to go back living on city but what holds me back is whose going to be with my parents.  Even though my brother is here but they are also busy working on their own. The house will be left empty in the morning. I am also afraid to tell my parents I want to live in Cebu but I am thinking they won’t allow me. I am 26 in a few days, but I still act like a high school student. Haha, silly me! When will I grow up!..

I watched this because Yoo Seung Ho is there. I am kind of disappointed and find it boring later on that until now I am still not finished watching the whole series. I am still on the 15ht episode and I am not sure if when I can finish the last episode.

To be honest, the first few episodes is kind of exciting but as the story goes I found it dull because of the repetitive story and it’s too dragging already. I also find it no sense at all why the conductor easily gives the potion to Baek Ho (Yoo Seung Ho) even if he says that it will be his last chance. Though I know that the autographed baseballs are the exchange for the potion but I find it no sense at all. It seems that Baek Ho became reliant to the conductor every time his futures screw up.

I appreciate the acting of the characters knowing that they have given their best effort for this drama. It’s just that the story turned out to be boring after the first few episodes.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Genre: K-drama

I know it’s late but I can’t help but adore Lee Seung Ki after I watched him at King2Hearts. And because I had a hangover, I started watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. And damn, I almost missed one of the coolest K-drama if I didn’t watch it.

Shin Min Ah is so cute in the drama specially the winking parts to Dae Woong. I think this would be the most memorable character for her. She’s just way too cute in here. And Lee Seung Ki, he is so cool here! I love their chemistry in this drama.

The drama itself is so cool. The story is never boring and you always get a laugh and fall in love in every episode. Even on the supporting characters, they even managed to make its story be interesting as well. Mi Ho is innocently beautiful. Dae Woong is immature but is responsible and sincere. Aunt and Director Ban both out of the ordinary but a perfect match. Hae-in and Park Dong Ju are both devilishly pretty and handsome! Dae Wong’s friends love story is cute too!

I am glad I have watched this drama! I love this drama and I want more of My GF is a Gumiho!

AirPhil Express and MLhuillier

Category: Internet
Type: Online Services

I was booking for flight at Airphil Express website when I saw this new feature on their payment option. I was so glad upon knowing that you can now pay your Airphil bookings even if you don’t own any credit card. I can now pay my bookings with MLhuillier Pawnshops.  Though I haven’t tried this third party payment option yet, but I think this can be very helpful since MLhuillier Pawnshops are everywhere nowadays. I am delighted for this upgrade!

King 2 Hearts: Best K-drama for this year

Category: Movies
Genre: Korean Drama

poster credits to rightful owner.
I bet everyone who watched Secret Garden must have watched King 2 Hearts this time. Ha Ji Won eonnie is very cool here and also Lee Seung Ki oppa. I don’t know who Lee Seung Ki was before this drama, the character really suits him. I want this drama to win this year’s awards.

While everyone is trying their effort for the unification of South and North Korea, this villain Bong Go is really against it and would do everything in his power to prevent and dethroned the South Korean king. I really this character and his magic tricks are more annoying. I also hate his lady killer, so annoying! Good for her she died!

It really made me cry when Eun Si Gyung died at 19th episode. I was really hoping for a happy ending for him and the princess. It really made me watching him grasping for his breath and died. His death reminds me of the prosecutor’s death at City Hunter. Si Gyung and Princess look so good together.

I would really love to watch this again. This drama must be the drama of the year for me. Episodes are never boring that sometimes I hope its Wednesday and Thursday already. Hahaha….

Anyway, Congratulations King 2 Hearts cast and staff!!! Really and job well done! I hope there’s part 2! Hehehe...

Mountain View Natures Park, Busay Cebu

Category: Travel Destination
Location: Busay, Cebu

Thinking about a good place to relax and escape the busy life of Cebu? I recommend Mountain View Natures Park at Busay. I really had a good time here last weekend with nephew and baby. And also one of the best weekends I’ve spent in Cebu so far.

The place is a mountain resort which overlooks the city. The view there at night is really magnificent. You can do a lot of thing there aside from sightseeing. They have a pool if you like swimming, and for those who like to get physical and experience adventure, they have Rope Course Adventure for you. It’s a good place to spend the weekend to relax without spending too much.

Getting there is quite easy. You just need to go to JY Square, and there, motor drivers will approach and ask. Just tell them you are going to Mountain View Natures Park. Just take note that each motor is only 100 pesos. We were asked 120 each motor upon going the resort and later we know that the price is only 100 pesos (the guard told us). Taxi drivers won’t take you there so you take the motorcycles.

Entrance Fees: P50/person
Rope Course Adventure: P150/person
Shoes and socks rentals (for those who are wearing slippers/sandals): P100/person
Pool Entrance: 100/person per day
Cottages (aircon and non aircon available): P900-1200
They also have bigger cottages for larger groups (e.g. going for team building)

I'm really coming back here!!!!

My nephew having soooo much fun with rope adventure course. He was very tired after! Haha

Groupon Hassles

Category: Internet Shopping

I love Groupon! I love their getaways deals and shopping deals. But just recently, I have this problem about their service. I still have an undelivered item from them and it’s already 1 month overdue.  My Sandisk USB!

I am already tired getting updates and they always tell me they have already called the merchant, the delivery is still ongoing, or they will address this to their supervisor, blah blah!

I know a lot of people out there have the same issues too. Now that I have thought about it, though Groupon is good site to look for deals, but always think twice if you are trying to buy from them especially for the items that are marked as FREE DELIVERY.

It will never be delivered!

So as my lesson learned, I am buying deals that are for delivery from Cashcashpinoy or eBay Kuponan. They are always on schedule and never late. You are assured that your item will be delivered on time. No hassles! J

Update: May 8, 2012

My item has been delivered way past the scheduled time frame... I am not sure if who is at fault, my receipt from Air21 says that the Shipment date was 2012-4-11 (but noticed it has been tampered) and received it May 8. Groupon also said they have updated their system. I hope this includes on-time delivery. But still be careful because...

It will never be delivered! ON-TIME...
